Managing Access Groups

The Church Management System (ChMS) has an integrated access module that prohibits users from accessing and changing content they have not explicitly been given permission to. This access is given out through the various access groups a user is a part of.

Note: Every Installation of the Nineteen05 ChMS comes with a preset list of Access Groups and we encourage customers to not alter these settings. If changes are needed feel free, but realize that changing the settings will result in different access dynamics than those represented in this video.

Creating an Access Group:

  1. Fill out the Group name
  2. Give the group a description stating the purpose for creating the group
    See current groups for an example
  3. Click the ‘Add New Access Group’ button
  4. Select the group from the list above
  5. Update the access settings for your new group (see instructions below)

Updating an Access Group:

  1. Select the group to modify from the list on the left
  2. Alter the settings to suit your needs on the right
    Checked Items will be accessible, unchecked its will be inaccessible.
  3. Click the ‘Update Access Settings’ button

Removing an Access Group:

  1. Carefully Select the group you wish to remove from the drop down list
  2. Make sure you’ve selected the correct group
  3. Click the ‘Remove Access Group’ button

Change a Specific Users Access:

If your goal is to alter one users access to the site it is best to change the access groups they associate with by managing their user account;
