Printing Giving Receipts

We’ve streamlined the creation of your Giving Reports to take less than a minute. Thus we’ve made one of the biggest burdens of the year a simple morning task, like making coffee.

This Screen-cast is showcasing how to create your Annual Giving Receipt, but the same strategy is used for Date Giving Exporting and Personal Exporting.

Screen Cast Coming Soon

  1. Navigate to the Giving Data Export page (Church Management > Giving > Export Data )
  2. Set the correct settings for your needs and then export the file
    • Year: Which year do you want data for.
    • Giving Template: These follow those used to input data
    • Address Type: Choose where to address the labels too
    • Address Completion: Set the amount of a mailing address that is required or not.
  3. Open the Giving Contribution Statement (download) and modify it for your church (See below for what you cannot change)
  4. In Microsoft Word data merge the file you just downloaded (‘Mailings’ > ‘Select Recipients’ > ‘Use Existing List…’ )
  5. Print the Receipts (‘Mailings’ > ‘Finish & Merge’ > ‘Print Documents…’ )
  6. Stuff envelops, add postage, and Mail.

Notes:

  • If a member/couple gave over 60 instances for a year there will be more than one page printed for them.
    • This is a limitation of excel spread sheets.
  • Spouses are combined in their giving for the receipt.
    • If they are need separate, you must remove the relationship before exporting, then restore the relationship afterward.
  • To discover what members need their addresses completed set the Address Completion to Incomplete.
  • If you need to only print a receipt for one member, go to the giving page of their member profile and export from there.
  • Members who print their giving receipt from the Member Portal will not be printed by default.
